    Relieve the fuel system pressure and disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Next, remove the fuel pump/fuel level sending unit from the fuel tank. Then, take out the sub-tank from the fuel pump assembly. Twist the fuel pressure regulator from the assembly, ensuring that the O-ring comes out with it. It might be necessary to use a screwdriver to pry the pressure regulator from the filter assembly. When reinstalling, follow the reverse order of the removal process and make sure to install a new O-ring(s) on the fuel pressure regulator.
