How do you remove and install the multi-function switch on Lexus RX330?

Remove the cable with the negative sign on the end from the negative terminal of the battery. The upper and lower steering column are usually removable and should be removed until the airbag replacement is completed. The turn signal switches are mounted to the switch body, depending on the year and model, in one of the following methods: In 1999 through 2003 Lexus models the switch has two screws that hold it in place and in 2004 and later Lexus and all Toyota models the switch is held in place by retaining clips that must be compressed to release the switch. To disconnect either turn signal switch from the switch body on 1999 through 2003 Lexus models, then, the 2 screws will have to be removed. As for 2004 and later Lexus models and all Toyota models you need to depress the switch with a screwdriver and then slide it out. Pull out the Turn Signal Switch and then detach the wires that lead to the switch. Removal is the reverse procedure of installation.
