- Q: How to remove and install a fuel pump and Fuel Level Sensor from a Lexus ES350?A: For fuel pump removal, start by relieving the fuel system pressure and disconnecting the battery cable. Remove the rear seat cushion, then carefully pry up the fuel pump module/Fuel Level Sensor access cover. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) and fuel line from the top of the fuel pump unit, using a small screwdriver to release the yellow clip on the fuel line. Remove the retaining bolts of the fuel pump module/Fuel Level Sensor and carefully withdraw it from the Fuel Tank. If dealing with a Fuel Level Sensor, disconnect its electrical connector and slide it out after releasing the plastic locking tab. For fuel pump module removal on four-cylinder models (2011 and earlier), disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector from the fuel suction plate.
